In this design-build project, the wayfinding signage system was developed to not only be “buildable” but optimized to maximize the allocated budget. One of the challenges of this project was the unique free-form shape of the solar cover of the signs. Through a series of mock-ups, Urban identified a build that effectively captured the suns rays and could be fabricated consistently—a cost-effective solution that streamlined the process and the budget.

The project team also specified a unique vinyl color which was not commercially available. Urban provided a custom silk-screened die-cut solution to meet the design criteria and satisfy the client’s expectations. Installation of this project was performed by the construction management team on the project, MasTech.
